Tools I have built
I built all of these myself and most of them are online right now.
Downloaders
Telegram Downloader in 10 languages, a Pinterest downloader in 9 languages, and several Instagram downloaders for clients that I am not allowed to name.
Calculators
TDEENet is an English online calculator that I launched from scratch on my own domain.
Location and direction tools
BoussoleOnline with a compass, a qibla finder and a speedometer for French speakers. A location sharing tool in 6 languages and an online qibla finder belong here too.
Online tests
Tests that users answer to get a result. Right now we are building tools like these for Dr. Masoud Gholizadeh's website.
Why going multilingual is more than translation
The easy route is to translate the texts and add a language button. The result is a website with ten languages of which Google sees only one. Each language needs its own URL and has to be linked to the others with hreflang tags.
Then there is text direction. Persian and Arabic run right to left, and when the page flips, buttons, icons and even the direction of arrows have to land correctly. A layout that was not designed for this from the start falls apart.
And the words themselves. A German user does not search for what a word-for-word translation of the English says. The title and description for each language have to be written from real searches in that language.
Settle these four things before you order
A good tool starts from a clear definition, not from a long list of features.
What exactly the tool does
One job, clear enough to say in one sentence. The simpler, the better.
Which languages to start with
It does not have to be ten languages on day one. I set up the structure for many and we start with two or three.
Who does the translation
Machine translation is fine for buttons. It is not fine for the main text of the page.
Where the revenue comes from
Ads, services or something else. If you run ads, their place is planned into the design from the start.
Who this is for, and who it is not for
I would rather be clear from the start so neither of us wastes time.
It fits if
- You have a tool idea whose audience is not limited to one country.
- You have a tool website in one language and want to grow it.
- You want the website to be light and do only what it should.
Skip it if
- Your tool violates other people's rights or breaks the law.
- You only want a simple presentation page. The web design page is a better fit for that.
- You expect the website to rank overnight with no content and no patience.
How I work with you
-
First meeting
In person in Tabriz, or online if you are in another city or country. This is where I learn what the tool should do and for whom.
-
Structure and languages
I lay out the URLs, languages and pages on paper. For SEO this step matters more than anything else.
-
Building the tool
I write the tool and give each language its own title, description and hreflang.
-
Delivery and support
After delivery, support follows the contract we sign. Its terms are clear before the work starts.
Questions people usually ask
Is WordPress or custom code better for a tool website?
I have done both. Telegram Downloader started on WordPress and I later made it custom. For a simple tool WordPress is enough, and when the website grows, custom code gives you more room.
How many languages can be added?
So far I have had 10 languages on one website. There is no technical limit, but every language needs its own content and upkeep.
How much does it cost?
There is no fixed number because it depends on the sections and features you need. After the first meeting I give you an exact estimate.
Do you work with clients outside Tabriz?
Yes. For other cities and other countries we meet online.
Are we on our own after delivery?
No. Support continues under the contract, and we agree on its terms before the work starts.
